It's like a reoccurring dream, to shed belongings, commitments. I'll make a bonfire of my teacher clothes and you sell the dogs. We'll run away together--British Columbia, Estonia, North Dakota, I don't care. Anywhere but here.
Let's get a raft and float down a river.
Let's get on a plane, watch the tiny crazy world through a thunderstorm, and fly north, where it's so cold you'll need the heat of my body to keep you warm.
Let's get motorcycles and ride forever, with everything we need in a pack.
Let's disappear into the mountains, sit on a boulder, stretching our toes to touch the glacier's stream, so cold it burns us. Let's scramble up rocks and jump crevasses. We can build a cabin up there.
In a year or so you'll see, I'm sane and they're crazy. The tame ones, they're off their rockers. Let me be fierce, and strong, and free.

Hi Jenn, You know, I wrote this feeling kinda like a weirdo, but when I posted it, I thought, I bet there are other women out there who feel like me. Nice to know I'm not alone. Thanks. :)

Reminds me of He has not given us a spirit of timidity but of love, power, and self-discipline. Thankful for freedom via the cross <3 u
